The Spring winds this year are proving trying. Any wind over 30kph makes for a difficult ride and when in 40+ kph winds I am just not riding. It’s just not nice. This is, of course, slowing down my approach to completing the 2019 challenge of 6,000 kilometers in the year – but at 94% complete, I am not out of it yet!!!

The past couple of weeks have been quite windy. The wind has brought cold temperatures and rain too so, unlike New South Wales, Queensland and now South Australia, Tasmania is not on fire, yet.
What with the weather, medical appointments and our 50th wedding anniversary, there has been reduced riding.

The Fly12 combined front light and camera squeaked itself to death. It had been playing up for some time – not holding it’s charge well. Then, one day on the ride out past Nile, it started a cheeping noise – like a very small nearly dead bird. It would not stop until eventually it karked it on the kitchen bench top.
